Installation trade shows usually focus on devices, assembly, components and practical solutions for contractors. Technology events are better suited to companies showing prototypes, automation, energy management systems, storage, network digitalization or hydrogen solutions.

Investment fairs focus on financing, project scale and cooperation with industry or the public sector. The environmental fair focuses on waste, recycling, water, emissions and the circular economy. Industrial events may be more relevant to companies whose technology is part of a larger production process.

The selection should be based on the exhibitor profile, industry program, location and compliance of the fair with the sales goal.

How to prepare a stand for a renewable energy and energy fair?

The stand should explain the technology faster than the product catalog. It is worth showing the physical device, its cross-section, components or installation model. When a full-size system does not fit on the stand, you can use a mock-up, samples, technical animation or a clear operating diagram.

Wall graphics should not be a set of all parameters. The following must be visible from the main communication route: the brand, basic specialization and one specific benefit. It is better to transfer the details to infographics, video presentations, screens or materials available at the interview desk.

The energy industry needs space for longer consultations regarding installation selection, integration, service, financing and operating parameters. The meeting area should not block the front of the stand.

Before the project, you need to check the technical plan, available connections, permissible loads, construction height and rules for introducing devices into the hall.

The most common mistakes of exhibitors from the energy industry

The most common mistake is trying to show the entire portfolio on one wall. An excess of photos, icons, certificates and parameters means that the recipient does not know what the company does primarily.

The second problem is presenting the device without explaining its use. An inverter, module, pump or installation element requires context: a diagram, a process model, an animation or a short message showing the product's place in the entire system.

It is also a mistake to place the most important exhibit at the back of the stand, cover it with a counter or point the screen only in one direction. It is worth analyzing the direction of traffic and planning visibility from several points in the hall.

Another problem is determining the power supply, transport, assembly and security of devices too late. These issues must be agreed upon before the development project is finalized.
